8 DAYS SAMBURU / ABERDARES / NAKURU / NAIVASHA / MASAI MARA

Samburu is glorious for its gravy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffes, gerenuk
and Beisa Oryx. Lake Nakuru surrounded by woody and bushy grasslands. Aberdare is
legendary for tree hotels Treetops which gained fame in 1952 when it hosted the young
Princess Elizabeth on the very night that her father King George. Reputable for its
annual wildebeest’s migration and the fierce Maasai warriors Masai Mara is home to the
big five. Naivasha is positioned on the floor of rift valley Naivasha is famous for its duo
treks attractions “Hells gate national park and Crescent islands” Eminent for its birdlife
and grazers.

Day 1:

Our professional safari driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Nairobi for
safari briefing. After this short introduction, you will hit the road. From Nairobi, you will
enjoy a scenic drive providing breathtaking views of the Kenyan landscape. Along the
way, you will stop for lunch in the town of Nanyuki.
In the afternoon, you will arrive at your accommodations where you will check in before
heading out for an evening game drive in Samburu National Park. Samburu shelters an
area of semi-arid savannah extending from the lovely Ewaso Nyiro River. The reserve
consists a riverine forest along the water and dry acacia scrub peppered with termite
mounds. Koitogor Hill marks the middle of the reserve. Evening is a great time to spot
these animals as they are out eating before retreating to the safety of their habitat.

After the drive, you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African dinner.
Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Day 2:

After tea, you will head out for a full day game drive. Samburu provides one of the few
refuge in Kenya for the endangered Gravy’s zebra, the rare beisa Oryx and the blue-
shanked Somali ostrich. It also has large herds of elephant that roam the hills.
During the drive, your guide will introduce you to each animal you see and answer any
questions you have. This park offers designated areas where you will be able to enjoy a
picnic lunch right out in the open. After lunch, it is time to continue with the safari game
drive. [Optional: Visit the Masai Village where you can discover the tribal culture and
interact with local people. A preview into their homes and social structure is a touching
experience.]
After the drive, you will return to your accommodation for a well-earned rest before
enjoying an authentic African dinner. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Day 3:
Today you will begin early. After a quick hot drink, it is off for a morning game drive. All
the animals are out in the morning, searching for breakfast, so it is the perfect time for
your drive. The morning hours provide your best opportunity to spot the lion, cheetah
and leopard.
After the drive, you will return to your accommodation for a full breakfast before
checking out heading for Aberdare national park in the afternoon you will be transferred
to you hotel for an overnight stay. The lodges are famous for high balconies,
overlooking a salt lick and waterhole. Boasting a remarkable record of wildlife sightings
from their illuminated waterhole’s and salt licks, here we will enjoy the finest in high-
altitude game viewing. It is an ideal opportunity for guests to view game in detail.
Elephant herds surround the waterholes, drink and then fade way into the forest.
Buffalo bulls fight over territory in spectacular battles. Sleek Genet cats descend from
the trees and slip through halls of the lodge. Occasionally a Rhino or the subtle Bongo
antelope appear and visit the waterhole.

Day 4:

After breakfast, you will depart with an n route drive in Aberdare national park to your
base hotel Aberdare country club to reconnect with your driver for yet another
spectacular drive to Nakuru arriving late in the afternoon for an authentic African dinner
and overnight stay

Day 5:

On this day, you will begin early. After a full breakfast, it is off to for a morning game
drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Famed for being a rhino and flamingo haven Lake
Nakuru sits on the floor of rift valley surrounded by woody and bushy grasslands. It

offers different panoramic views from its divergent ridges and surrounding escarpments.
It is resident to 56 different species including white rhinos, waterbucks, lions and over
500 plants species.
After the drive, you will leave the park for Naivasha arriving late in the afternoon for
dinner and overnight stay [Optional: Boat ride on Lake Naivasha for viewing of the
hippopotamus.]

Day 6:

On this day, you will begin early. After a full breakfast, it is off to Naivasha for a morning
game drive in Hell’s Gate National Park. Aside from all the wildlife, Hell’s Gate National
Park is famous for its natural geysers, star rock towers and a geothermal steam that
make it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa.
Later in the day, we depart for Masai Mara arriving at your accommodations in good
time where you will check in before heading out for an evening game drive in Masai
Mara National Game Reserve (the jewel of Africa). The Masai Mara is home to the “Big
5” lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhino along with over 100 other animals and
over 500 species of birds. This is a great time to spot these animals as they set out
eating before it gets dark and they retreat to the safety of their habitat.
After the game drive, you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African
dinner in your accommodations. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Day 7:

After breakfast, you will set out for a full day game drive. [Optional: Take a hot air
balloon ride over the reserve as part of your morning game drive. This is an amazing
way to see the animals up close.] On this day, you will get to go up to the Mara River to
see the crocodiles and hippopotamus. Along other parts of the river, you will see a
variety of animals coming to get a drink of water.
This park offers designated areas where you will be able to enjoy a picnic lunch right out
in the open. After lunch, it is time to continue with the safari game drive.
After the drive, you will return to your accommodations for a well-earned rest before
enjoying an authentic African dinner. After dinner, you can meet other travelers and
swap stories about your safari adventure. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.

Day 8:

Today you will begin early. After a quick hot drink, it is off for a morning game drive. All
the animals are out in the morning, searching for food, so it is the perfect time for your
drive. The profusion of animals at Masai Mara makes it possible for you to see the
greatest variety of African wildlife.
After the drive, you will return to your accommodation for a full breakfast before
checking out. [Optional: Visit the Masai Village where you can explore the tribal culture

and interact with local people. A preview into their homes and social structure is a
touching experience.] On your way back, you will stop at the small town of Mai Mahiu
for lunch. Our driver will deliver you back to Nairobi where you can say your goodbyes.
Note: The Great Wildebeest Migration take place July through October.
