3 DAY MERU
Meru national park is renowned as the setting for Joy Adamson’s book “Born Free”, the
story of the Adamson’s life and research amongst “Elsa” the lioness and cheetah. The
equator, 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams bisect the park.
Day 1:
Our professional safari driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Nairobi for a
safari briefing. After this short introduction, you will hit the road. From Nairobi, you will
enjoy the beautiful views along your way.
In the afternoon, you will arrive at your accommodations where you will check in before
heading out for an evening game drive. This is a great time to spot these animals as
they set out eating before it gets dark and they retreat to the safety of their habitat.
After the game drive, you will return to your accommodation for an authentic African
dinner in your accommodations. Then it is off to bed for a good night’s sleep.
Day 2:
After breakfast, you will set out for a full day game drive. Meru national park is

Adamson’s life and research amongst “Elsa” the lioness and cheetah. The equator, 13
rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams bisect the park. It has diverse scenery from
woodlands to wide-open plains filled with numerous birds’ species and animals
including large prides of lion and some of Kenya’s largest herds of buffalo.
On the rivers banks, you will see abundant Hippo and Crocodiles. Bird life includes
Peter's fin foot, which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel's Fishing Owl,
Rollers, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, Starlings and numerous Weavers. Picnic lunch at the
park. After the drive, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight
stay
Day 3:
Today you will begin early. After a quick hot drink, it is off for a morning game drive. All
the animals are out in the morning, searching for food, so it is the perfect time for your
drive. The profusion of animals at Meru makes it possible for you to see the greatest
variety of African wildlife. During the drive, your guide will introduce you to each animal
you see and answer any questions you have.
After the drive, you will return to your accommodation for a full breakfast before
checking out. On your way back, you will stop for lunch. Our driver will deliver you back
to Nairobi where you can say your goodbyes.
